A post from 03.12.12 at 22.16 called 'Match Attax cards or similar, urgent help required!' is an absolute humdinger if we've ever seen one. It says -
**Scenario is,
Wee man get a match attax binder with cards as one of his birthday
presents on Friday (similar to the panini sticker albums for the older
generation on FF).
Opens up a packet that contains the filths club crest and is over the moon
cause its his 1st 'shiny one'.
He then hits the roof when I throw it in the bin (as you do along with
another said player) and i am now the bad dad for doing this.
Roll on to Sunday and we're sitting down to watch the game and he wants
to know why none of the Rangers players have match attax cards?
Answer is simple because we're in Div 3 and not the Spl the company
obviously dont make them
Now I aint looking for a cool story bro or anything like that.
All I need is someone to hopefully point me in the direction of something
similar football card wise that relates to Rangers.
Wee man is only 5 but he is going to come across more packets with more
filth in them.
Granted I would let him keep them if they produced gers ones as well but
they dont. Hence the reason all he is looking at just now is shitty SPL
cards and EPL cards.
Also dont want him becoming too familiar with the likes of Manu and
Liverpool etc!
Does anyone know if there's any alternatives out there or is this just one
of the downsides of being an div 3 side?
And before anyone thinks I'm over reacting this is how I learned about all
the players back in the early 80's with the panini sticker album.

Now to us, this Billy just sounds like a sad old man who never managed to finish his sticker book when he was younger. Taking this away from his son is just bitter and pathetic. Is this what it's come to for Billy and co, or should we say Billy and 'Newco'?
