It is a new club. Accept it

Why are the The Rangers fans finding it so hard to accept that they no longer have the history that they once had, they no longer have the records that they once loved and they definitely don't have the same vile club that they love so much.
A post from 24.06.12 at 17.38 called 'Naisy, Whittaker, Walter calling it a new club'
says -

**
Just read the statements from Naismith and Whittaker calling Rangers a
   new club.
This echoed the similarly strange comment made from Walter when Walter
   pulled his bid.
Why are these Rangers men calling it a new club???
Seriously, do they have some subtle reason for it?
Naisy's statement mentioned "new" twice at the end---
I refuse to believe he's twisting the dagger! He is simply Rangers through
   and through.
**

Perhaps they're calling it a new club because it is a new club Billy. Doh.

**I don't understand it either!
As long as we Beleive it's the same club, nothing else matters!
**

Wrong.

**
You can put Gough on that list as well.
Hinting heavily that it's a new club.
Why do they feel the need?
**

Acceptance is a major part of the grief process. Maybe you aren't there yet.

**
you could understand it if it was coming from tarriers, or the mhedia or
whomever, but coming from rangers men it's not the nicest thing to hear.
**

**
It feels as if the players who came out with the statements earlier & Walter
are basically saying it's not Rangers anymore, fucking off & just leaving us
   fans behind...
**

**They have all let us down with their shameful actions and statements.**

Exactly Billy. How dare they put themselves and their career before a failing club that may not even be playing competitive football next season.
Shame on them.
