Captain Fantastic

So. Steven Davis is the stand-out player of the Rangers team, which wouldn't be hard right now given that they are playing half their under 16's team. But when some of the bears were bleating on about how he is the best midfielder in Scotland, dothe others agree? A post on 25.08.11 at 20.31 called 'Does Davis Deserve to remain captain?' says -

*No. He bottles everything. He bottles it from the ref, he shat it when taking a penalty v
 Unirea, he doesn't "lead the team" at all, no matter how good a player he is. He's
 not a captain

*No a captain should grab a game by the scruff of the neck and hammer that
 chance into the back of the net. As much as i love davis as a player he is too much
 of a s**tbag to wear the captains armband

*Put it this way... I thought that Broadfoot showed the most ability to read the game
 in our team tonight - yet he is lambasted as not Rangers quality while people praise
 Davis as a superstar.

*said it before Davis is a decent player but he is also easily the most over rated player
 to play for us in recent times.

*Goian would make a good captain,he can pass a ball out of defence he can header
 a ball and reads the game well.And isn't frightened to mix it when needed.

So there we have it. Davis shouldn't be captain, it should be Goian or Broadfoot. We're sure they would do well.
